The Aircraft

AIR-ONE assists with the operation of nine turbine powered helicopters which are registered to various law enforcement agencies. All are military surplus aircraft manufactured in the late 1960's to early 1970's.

The first surplus aircraft to enter the program was a Bell OH-58C/Bell 206Blll, received from the DoD in November, 2006. Refurbishments have included paint, high skids, mechanical overhauls, avionics upgrades, public service communication radios, NightSun search lights, FLIR thermal imaging systems, and Aero Computers mapping systems.

All helicopters in the AIR-ONE program are meticulously maintained by FAA certified Airframe & Powerplant technicians with decades of experience.
